The Sunday morning was cool and pleasant. It was great to not have a hot race for once! There were
a few crocsters meandering around discussing what time their wave starts were. (was it the men or
women who had to wait a few hours to start this time??)It was nice to see some familiar croc faces.
There were people absolutely everywhere- a sellout 1700 competitors and their family and
friends!
In brief..... The swim was cool (no jellyfish this day), the ride a little crowded and the run all
good (except for the elbow from a girl who I was racing to the finish line). In the end the crocs
had some great racing and a pleasant day out!-see results below.
The presentations were across the road at the salubrious Cleveland Sands Hotel. We had a few
podiums. Mr “movie star” Dalrymple had a great race-1 in his age group - well done Brad! Deb
had a 1st in her age group toofantastic! and me a 2nd place in my age group.
The End of Season Party followed....
Deb picked up a first in her age group for the series-well done and myself a second in my age group
for the series. The party was a little quiet-all a bit too tired to party on a Sunday after the
race!
